Breaking point...

Well Friday I offically reached my breaking point... I could no longer hold it in and "pretend" that I am okay through all of this...I have so many feelings about these upcoming months, even though I know it is the best thing for me. Everyone I see asks "how are you feeling?" My response is always "im doing good" when deep down in side I just want to tell them exactly how I feel, nervous, anxious, scared, upset, worried and everything else I feel....I know all of these feelings are normal but I just am unsure how to "deal" with them. I have such an amazing support group and that in itself is overwhelming. My family and friends are putting on a benefit for me since I will be off of work unpaid for awhile and its hard to understand this all. I am the one always trying to help people, always trying to make everyone else happy, make them laugh and to know that all of this support is for me is very overwhelming but much appreciated. I can no longer keep all these emotions inside, my GI doctor is amazing too, she knew I was having a breaking point and took time out of her Saturday to make sure to call me and talk for about 20mins and reassure me that all of these feelings are normal given it is such a big surgery and all that I have went through this past year, but she also said I need to share my feelings and stop holding it in. So, if you are one that asks how im doing, expect more than just Im okay!! lol  anyway.....3 weeks from today is the big surgery! I go in for pre op on Sept 7th and will be there ALL day for many different appointments...Cant wait to start feeling like the "old Lyndsey" again! Thank you all for the support!!!

New to the Blog!

Well I decided to start a blog for this journey I have been on since Sept 2010. I saw someone that had done this for before, during and after their surgery and thought it might help me also! This may or may not be something that you all want to read because I will not hold back on what I have or will go trough the next year or so! Thank you everyone for the support! Love you all!
